Scott R. Williams is a dynamic entrepreneur, strategic thinker, and influential public affairs leader. As Co-founder and Partner of ForeFront Strategies, he has built a distinguished career providing senior corporate counsel, litigation communications, thought leadership, media and government relations, and executive advisory services to Fortune 100 companies, as well as offering expert political and communications commentary.
Scott provides senior executive and political leaders with media relations and strategic communications support, speech and content writing and creation, and creative approaches to the ever-changing digital and new media landscape.
Scott’s expertise spans multiple industries, including emerging technology, defense and aerospace, financial services, food and beverage, hospitality, labor relations, and government communications. He has played a pivotal role in shaping national discourse through comprehensive communications and government affairs strategies, while also leading high-profile litigation support programs for some of the most scrutinized cases in the United States.
Before co-founding ForeFront, Scott was President of RussellWilliams, a Washington, D.C.-based boutique communications firm, and a Senior Managing Director at BSMG Worldwide. Earlier in his career, he served as a press secretary to prominent political figures, including Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Sam Nunn (D-GA), U.S. Ambassador to China Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), Chief House Majority Whip Barbara B. Kennelly (D-CT), and Representative Peter A. Peyser (D-NY). Additionally, he contributed to ABC News/Good Morning America as a segment producer, covering major breaking news stories worldwide.
Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond communications. He was a founding partner of Capitol City Brewing Company, the first brewery in Washington, D.C., since Prohibition, and played a key role in launching Typhoon Brewery, an acclaimed gourmet Thai restaurant/brewpub in New York City. He also founded Noodles13, a fast-casual noodle shop test concept tailored for college markets.
Committed to community engagement, Scott serves on the Board of Trustees of Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, and the Board of Directors of the Malaysia-America Society. He is an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Bethesda, Maryland, and has served on the boards of the City Choir of Washington and the Washington Revels. He is also a former Alumni Board member for Colgate University.
