Coffee With DeVRY in the Stewardverse: Pink Tariffs
Join us for “Pink Tariffs: Coffee with Devry in the Stewardverse” on Thursday, October 9, at 10 AM - 11:15 AM CDT.
The Stewardverse is our firm’s North Star, a concept that grounds businesses and helps them understand the value of prioritizing outcomes for people and nature.
Devry Boughner Vorwerk, our founder and CEO, invites you to share a cup of virtual coffee to exchange views on pink tariffs.
The concept of pink taxes is well established. It’s a term for gender-based price discrimination, where products and services marketed to women or girls cost more than similar products or services marketed to men or boys, even when there's no functional difference in the goods themselves.
When it comes to global trade, pink tariffs is similar, where we see differentiated tariff terms applied to products produced for women. The concern is that we’re seeing an erosion of strides made in recent years to consider gender in global supply chains.
This is an informal, open discussion where participants can share views, exchange facts, relay data, and offer ideas and advice on finding the best ways to manage tariff policy to move businesses forward fairly.
The complimentary meeting will take place over Zoom, and you will receive a meeting link after you register below.
